Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the company commented: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, having sold more than 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles combined, which features a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
