Netflix Selects Spot-On Star for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Third Season
The Secret Organization is geared up to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the true confrontation won’t unfold until season 3, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The platform declared Tuesday that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Mr. 2. The role can use their power to change into an perfect replica of any individual they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that role re-envisioned as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action show, unlike the initial comic and cartoon version.
This performer will work alongside several other new cast members set to bring Baroque Works to reality, including leader the main antagonist, played by the well-known actor, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Though Bon Clay is a key figure of the organization, the individual won’t appear until One Piece season 3. With the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this marks a major departure in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal more adjustments to the plot development.
