President Trump Invites Families of Injured National Guard Personnel to the White House
Former President Trump stated on Sunday that he has invited the loved ones of a National Guard member tragically killed last week to attend the executive mansion.
He added that he spoke to her family and they were “heartbroken”.

Specialist Beckstrom, 20, was killed in a attack on Wednesday in Washington DC.
Her comrade, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, remains hospitalized in serious condition.
Memorials across West Virginia have taken place in their honor.

The commander-in-chief explained he’s proposed a meeting at the presidential residence for the families of both members of the West Virginia Guard.
“I stated: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a tough thing, come to the White House. We’re going to honor her,” the president addressed reporters. “And in the same way with Andrew, recover or not.”

Community members gathered over the weekend at a local school in the state to remember Beckstrom.
Both they had been working with the military unit as part of the president’s national effort to aid policing efforts in DC.

“Sarah was the type of pupil that educators hoped for. She conducted herself with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a upbeat demeanor that inspired those around her,” the principal, the principal of Beckstrom’s alma mater, stated to the Associated Press. “She was caring, caring and always ready to help others.”
Service arrangements for Sarah are in the process of planning.

Authorities have indicted a 29-year-old Afghan national with a charge of murder and two counts of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.

“She had a lot of kindness and she certainly had courage,” the governor informed the crowd at the service. “Though her life ended too soon, she has made an impact that’s going to last forever.”
