US entertainer Pat Finn, who appeared in popular programs like Friends, "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has succumbed at the age of 60.
The comedic improv actor passed away at his residence in Los Angeles recently after undergoing cancer treatment from 2022 onward, as reported by reports.
"Pat never met a stranger - just potential friends he had yet to meet," his relatives stated in a message.
They continued that he had "lived his life fully - with zest and passion".
An Extensive TV Career
Finn's first television role was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the lead character's sibling.
He also had a recurring role on Murphy Brown in the latter half of the 1990s.
He starred as a party host named Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in the late 90s, playing a party host famous for delegating unpleasant chores to his guests.
During the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on a variety of well-known programs, such as:
- "King of Queens"
- "Friends"
- That '70s Show
- House, M.D.
Finn was perhaps best known for portraying Bill Norwood in "The Middle", appearing throughout eight seasons of the show between 2011 and 2018.
His cinematic roles include It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
Off-Screen Life
Beyond his television work, Finn was an improv performer and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was part of a six-member improv team named Beer Shark Mice.
"Finn taught, supported, and inspired countless students over the years and it's nearly impossible to find someone anyplace who has an unkind word to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Offering condolences, fellow actor actor Richard Kind noted there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, authentic human being you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, helping you be funnier and better. A great dad, a great guy," he shared publicly.
Finn is remembered by his spouse Donna, his children, and his family.
